It might be sufficient enough to say that it is ”art for your walls”, but even so, it really doesn`t do justice to the broad scope of artworks that will make your walls spring back to life! Modern wall art is pretty much anything and everything you put on your walls to coincide with the rest of the decor in your room. That could be a photo print, a painting, or shelves with mini figurines.

If you are someone who loves words and lives by their favorite quotations, use wall decals to place your favorite quotes up on your wall. Whether you were ”born to run” or believe that ”every good deed is its own reward,” you can spell out your word views using vinyl. This is an especially cute touch in a child`s room or in an infant`s nursery.

Art that synchronizes with the prevalent color scheme never fails to appeal and is always pleasant on the eyes. However, if matching colors is not to your taste, it is perfectly okay to choose wall art that is in contrast with your existing color scheme. Rather than make the wall art blend in with the surroundings, it will make it stand out, giving it more prominence and visibility.

I`ve seen some great stencils that look like rock walls with vines and ivy. If you are the least bit creative, then stencils will allow you to exercise that creativity to make a piece of wall art that you can enjoy every day as well as show off to your guests. Wall murals and stencils go with a variety of decorating themes including the old world, shabby chic, french country, and even some contemporary styles.

Oil paintings are one such wonderful process in use by most artists today. This is simply the process of using pigments in painting and drawing various wonderful designs on the walls. Drying oil and other quality painting materials such as resin, frankincense, walnut oil, and many others are used in the process. Different kinds of oils are normally used depending on the kind of pigment is applied. There are various techniques used in the painting process. Each technique usually involves proper sketching with thinned paint and charcoal which are applied onto a canvas in order to get the right design in mind. In most cases, the painting made on the wall with the oil is normally dried up through evaporation or oxidation within a space of one day to one week.

Removable decals are also great for apartments because if they are advertised as being removable, they shouldn`t damage your walls. Accentuating one wall, can enhance a small space or room and is a good way to tie the room together. If you don`t want to damage a rental wall, by putting up removable decals instead of wallpaper, you can achieve a similar effect to personalize your space without spending an enormous amount of time or money. They make quite an impact and can also be a wonderful conversation piece!

Make sure that the frames are not overpowering the wall and that the colors are in keeping with the rest of the room. Wall art can make or break a room and frames can make or break a piece of wall art.

Most decals are sold online and size and quality can be deceiving. Make sure that you read the fine print page for the size and material used. They should be removable and even better if re-positionable. Also, cheaper decals have a paper-like quality, usually have clear plastic around the design, or are printed on white background. They can appear shiny and once placed on a wall can appear cheap or sticker like in quality. The higher quality decals are slightly more expensive but well worth the money. There are vinyl decals that are usually done in the color of your choice and there are decals made of thin, matte material with high-resolution printing. Once put up on a wall they blend and are a beautiful addition to your space. In addition, they won`t tear if you move them around until you have it just right.
