Warmer colors also work well if you have a very spacious room and you want the perception to be that things are more inward or – cozy. If your room is somewhat small, try cool colors like shades of blues, purples, greens, or even grey. These hues will give the perception that a room is larger than it really is.

When considering wall treatments and the wall decorating ideas you have in mind, it is also important to keep in mind what the room will be used for and what type of ambiance you want to create. For example, when it comes to choosing a color scheme, research shows that red will not be calming, but will excite those who enter. Blue or tan walls are more calming and relaxing. With bold colors, you may choose to do all the walls or just one accent wall. Be careful about choosing lighter colors. Most decals are sold online and size and quality can be deceiving. Make sure that you read the fine print page for the size and material used. They should be removable and even better if re-positionable. Also, cheaper decals have a paper-like quality, usually have clear plastic around the design, or are printed on white background. They can appear shiny and once placed on a wall can appear cheap or sticker like in quality. The higher quality decals are slightly more expensive but well worth the money. There are vinyl decals that are usually done in the color of your choice and there are decals made of thin, matte material with high-resolution printing. Once put up on a wall they blend and are a beautiful addition to your space. In addition, they won`t tear if you move them around until you have it just right.

Drying oil and other quality painting materials such as resin, frankincense, walnut oil, and many others are used in the process. Different kinds of oils are normally used depending on the kind of pigment is applied. There are various techniques used in the painting process. In most cases, the painting made on the wall with the oil is normally dried up through evaporation or oxidation within a space of one day to one week.
