Today, you don`t have to put your modern art sculptures on a pedestal to be admired because there are plenty of fine wall art sculptures that you can hang on the walls. Usually, these are metal or a mixture of metal and wood and have a contemporary appeal. Wall sculptures are three-dimensional and stick out a bit from the wall adding depth and interest. Modern, contemporary, eclectic, and zen type decorating themes can benefit from these the most.

These are great decals for kids` rooms. For example, you can find some cute, colorful animals to add to the wall. Boys might want decals of different sports players, while the girls may want some bright pink butterflies. There are some that go with many popular movies and television shows, too, such as Spongebob Squarepants, Marvel`s Avengers, and, of course, the Disney Princesses. If you are looking for a way of decorating for your new baby, why not add a nursery wall decal or two. There are some cute ones for a nursery done in Noah`s Ark, Winnie the Pooh, and animals, just to name a few. You can even find a number of these decals that include a growth chart so your child can see how tall he or she is.

In fact, you can buy new items that are made to look like old architectural pieces. My personal favorite is wrought iron pieces that look like old gates or fences. These go with a wide range of decorating themes and look great on your walls.

Most decals are sold online and size and quality can be deceiving. Make sure that you read the fine print page for the size and material used. They should be removable and even better if re-positionable. Also, cheaper decals have a paper-like quality, usually have clear plastic around the design, or are printed on white background. They can appear shiny and once placed on a wall can appear cheap or sticker like in quality. The higher quality decals are slightly more expensive but well worth the money. There are vinyl decals that are usually done in the color of your choice and there are decals made of thin, matte material with high-resolution printing. Once put up on a wall they blend and are a beautiful addition to your space. In addition, they won`t tear if you move them around until you have it just right.

You can stencil your own border across the top of the wall or as a border halfway up the wall or stenciling can include allover prints. You can choose from the embossed look to beautiful mosaic stencils, contemporary styles, art nouveau, and architectural styles just to name a few. When it comes to imaginative wall decorating ideas, stenciling has to be high on the list.

Think about hanging three related prints above your sofa, arranged in a level line straight across. Always use odd numbers of items, such as groups of 3 or 5 when decorating a wall.

Many people will leave it blank and have no idea how to decorate it. Wall art can be a small collage of pictures or even framed art that your children have drawn. These are great ways to make an awkward wall look perfect and cohesive with the rest of the room. Art can even be decals that stick on the wall to bring a little fun to that space that seems to be empty.

If you don`t feel adventurous, or if the painting is not your style, there are other imaginative walls decorating ideas for you to consider, like decorating your walls with some beautiful designer wallpaper. It might be sufficient enough to say that it is ”art for your walls”, but even so, it really doesn`t do justice to the broad scope of artworks that will make your walls spring back to life! Modern wall art is pretty much anything and everything you put on your walls to coincide with the rest of the decor in your room. That could be a photo print, a painting, or shelves with mini figurines.
