But if you don`t allow the paint to ”cure” for about a month after painting, you increase the chances of damaging the paint when you try to remove the decals later. The package may say that the decals will lift off easily, but allowing the paint to cure will increase the likelihood of this occurring.

Most decals are sold online and size and quality can be deceiving. Make sure that you read the fine print page for the size and material used. They should be removable and even better if re-positionable. Also, cheaper decals have a paper-like quality, usually have clear plastic around the design, or are printed on white background. They can appear shiny and once placed on a wall can appear cheap or sticker like in quality. The higher quality decals are slightly more expensive but well worth the money. There are vinyl decals that are usually done in the color of your choice and there are decals made of thin, matte material with high-resolution printing. Once put up on a wall they blend and are a beautiful addition to your space. In addition, they won`t tear if you move them around until you have it just right.
