If you really want to make a huge statement in your room, then you might want to opt for a wall stencil or mural. Some of these murals can take up the whole wall and have a realistic look to them. I love the ones that look like french doors opening up into a beautiful garden or view of the sea.
The walls of a house should always be kept bright because they add glamor to the show of the house. Even if your house is very well furnished but the walls look dull, then the entire decoration is useless. On the other hand, if the walls are brightly painted and decorated then the whole house looks cheerful. So the central theme here is to decorate them with some unique designs with the help of the modern wall decor designs. There are many items available in the market and with the help of those decorative accessories, you can try your own artistry and design them in different ways.
These days, you don`t have to go to salvage yards or dumps to find this type of wall decor. In fact, you can buy new items that are made to look like old architectural pieces. My personal favorite is wrought iron pieces that look like old gates or fences. These go with a wide range of decorating themes and look great on your walls.
When considering wall treatments and the wall decorating ideas you have in mind, it is also important to keep in mind what the room will be used for and what type of ambiance you want to create. For example, when it comes to choosing a color scheme, research shows that red will not be calming, but will excite those who enter. Blue or tan walls are more calming and relaxing. With bold colors, you may choose to do all the walls or just one accent wall. Be careful about choosing lighter colors. You may want to splurge and purchase a washable paint if little hand prints might be a permanent part of your décor.
