Once you`ve cleared the walls, repainted them (if necessary), and patched up any holes, you`re ready to decorate! Modern wall art is at your beck and call! Check out the many pieces of artwork you can use, like abstract wall art, which is excellent for bringing color and imagination to your walls. Or, explore wall statues and quilts. Go art deco and put up a print of Marilyn Monroe, or if you need more lighting, consider putting up some decorative wall sconces.
If you want a warm and welcoming atmosphere, try using red, yellow, or orange hues. Warmer colors also work well if you have a very spacious room and you want the perception to be that things are more inward or – cozy. If your room is somewhat small, try cool colors like shades of blues, purples, greens, or even grey. These hues will give the perception that a room is larger than it really is.
Bring character to a boring wall. We all have those walls in our homes that are awkward and hard to fill and use. Many people will leave it blank and have no idea how to decorate it. Wall art can be a small collage of pictures or even framed art that your children have drawn. These are great ways to make an awkward wall look perfect and cohesive with the rest of the room. Art can even be decals that stick on the wall to bring a little fun to that space that seems to be empty.
